All You Need To Know About Our New Childcare Centre In Hamersley

When we opened the doors to our new Treasured Tots centre in Hamersley in February 2023, our excitement levels were sky high because we knew it meant that a much-needed gap for high quality childcare in the area was finally being filled. Excitement (and relief) from local families was also very evident as the applications started flooding in.

Treasured Tots Hamersley is our fifth centre in Perth and is further testament to the benchmark that we’ve set in terms of high quality childcare and early education.

In case you’re new to the Treasured Tots way of life, here’s a complete guide to the new Hamersley childcare centre and what it offers for little ones aged from six weeks to five years.

The premises

The state-of-the-art centre has been purpose-built so it suits our needs and aims perfectly. The areas are all airy and spacious, well set-out and fully equipped with premium materials, toys and resources.

The facility includes an art studio, a professionally designed nature playground, a veggie garden and separate areas to allow high energy activities to take place simultaneously with quiet, peaceful time.

Great care has been taken in designing the flow of movement between the indoor spaces and the beautiful outdoor environment. This is in keeping with our Reggio Emilia-inspired way of life at Treasured Tots which aims to nurture and support each child’s natural sense of curiosity about the world around them – and to encourage them to engage with activities and topics that that pique their own interests.

Safety and security are paramount and the highest standards of care are upheld by our highly trained, passionate and loving team of professional educators and support staff.

Our daily curriculum

As mentioned, all our Treasured Tots childcare centres in Bibra Lake, Fremantle, Mandurah, Piara Waters and now Hamersley are inspired by the globally acclaimed Reggio Emilia approach to early education.

This means that all our children are celebrated as unique individuals – capable, creative and inquisitive – and each child learns, develops and progresses at their own pace by doing things that interest them.

As with all our other centres, Treasured Tots Hamersley follows a play-based curriculum where children are nurtured to become independent and confident learners.

Nutrition and wellbeing

You’ll find nutritious and balanced menus at the Hamersley centre, carefully worked out by a paediatric nutritionist to cater for all dietary and cultural needs.

The Hamersley venue also offers our established wellness programme.

This interactive programme has been carefully designed to provide young children in our care with opportunities to learn about themselves and about others. It focuses on growing resilient, happy and aware children and judging by the outcomes achieved at our other centres, it’s destined to be a major success at our new Hamersley centre too.
