Who we are
Treasured Tots Early Education runs seven long day care centres in Western Australia. "We", "us" and "Treasured Tots" in this policy mean the companies and trust that run those centres:

| Piara Waters | Treasured Tots Early Education Piara Waters Pty Ltd | 50 645 706 092 |
We follow the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth). We do this whether or not the law strictly requires it of every one of our companies, because it is the right standard for families' information.
What this policy covers
This policy covers treasuredtots.com.au, the forms on it (book a tour, contact us and careers), our emails to you, and our online advertising. If your child enrols, we collect more information at that stage, such as health and immunisation details. We handle that information on the same principles as this policy, and we keep enrolment records as the Education and Care Services National Law and Regulations require.
What we collect
| When you... | We collect |
|---|---|
| Book a tour | Your name, email and mobile number (mobile is optional); your child's date of birth or due date; the month you want care to start; the centre you chose; how you heard about us; whether you want news and offers |
| Send us a message | Your name, email and phone number (phone is optional); the centre you mean (or "Not sure yet"); your topic and message; whether you want news and offers |
| Apply for a job | Your name, email, mobile number, preferred centre, the role you want, your résumé and anything else you tell us |
| Visit our website | The pages you view, how you arrived (for example a Google search or one of our ads), your device and browser, and your approximate location. Tools such as Google Analytics, Google Ads and the Meta Pixel collect this only if the cookie settings allow it (see "Cookies and tracking") |
| Click one of our ads | The ad details in the web address (such as the campaign and a click ID), the page you landed on and the website you came from. We keep these in your browser tab, without a cookie, and save them with your enquiry if you send one |
We don't ask for health, allergy or additional-needs information through the website. If we need it, we ask during enrolment. If you put sensitive information (such as health details) in a message or résumé, we treat it with extra care.
How we collect it
Mostly from you, through our forms, emails and calls. Some information comes automatically from your browser. If you click one of our ads, Google or Meta tell us which ad you clicked. We collect nothing about you from other people unless you tell us to, for example a referee named in a résumé.
Why we use it
- To reply to your enquiry and arrange your tour.
- To help you through enrolment if you go ahead.
- To consider your job application, for the role you applied for and for similar roles that come up.
- To send you a confirmation of what you submitted. These confirmation emails don't contain advertising.
- To send you news and offers, but only if you ticked the box.
- To understand how people use our website and which advertising works, so we can improve both.
- To keep our website secure and working, including blocking spam and finding errors.
- To meet legal obligations.
Who we share it with
We don't sell your information. We share it only with people and companies that help us run the website and centres, and when the law requires it.
| Who | What for | Where it is held |
|---|---|---|
| OWNA | Our childcare management system. Tour requests and enrolment details are recorded here | Ask us for details |
| Vercel | Runs our website | United States company; our website's functions and photos run from Sydney |
| Supabase | Database and private storage for enquiries and résumés | Sydney |
| Amazon Web Services (Amazon SES) | Sends our emails, including your confirmation | Sydney |
| Cloudflare (Turnstile) | Checks a form was sent by a person, not a bot | Global network, United States company |
| Sentry | Alerts us if an email fails to send. It receives the form name, a reference number and an error code, not your details | United States |
| Google (Tag Manager, Analytics, Ads) | Measures website use and ads, if cookie settings allow it | United States and other countries |
| Meta (Meta Pixel) | Measures Facebook and Instagram ads, if cookie settings allow it | United States and other countries |
| GroundWork Digital | Builds and runs our website for us | Australia |
Your enquiry is also emailed to the centre you chose, and in some cases to one of our owners, so they can reply.
Sending information overseas
Some of the companies above are based in, or store information in, other countries, mostly the United States. Google and Meta may handle information in other countries too. We choose providers with strong security and we ask them to protect information to a standard similar to the Australian Privacy Principles. We can't always control exactly where a large provider keeps data.
Cookies and tracking
When you first visit, our cookie banner explains that we use analytics and advertising cookies and lets you opt out. You can change your choice at any time with "Cookie settings" in the footer of every page. We remember your choice in your browser for 12 months.
- Analytics (Google Analytics) tells us which pages are used.
- Advertising (Google Ads and the Meta Pixel) tells us whether people who saw our ads went on to send an enquiry. It may also be used to show our ads to people who have visited our website. These companies may match this information with what they already hold about you. They then use it for their own purposes under their own privacy policies.
- If you opt out, Google's tags stop sending information to Google until you opt back in. Meta's pixel is also switched off.
- We switch advertising tags off on our careers pages and on pages about additional needs and inclusion.
- We use a hidden form field and Cloudflare Turnstile to block spam. Our website also collects browser security reports that tell us if something is wrong. These don't include your IP address.
You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The website will still work.
News and offers
On our tour and contact forms you can choose to receive occasional news and offers. We send these only if you ticked the box. We currently send them using our OWNA system. Every email says it is from Treasured Tots and has an unsubscribe link. We stop sending within 5 working days of your request, and you can also ask your centre to remove you. We keep a record of when you ticked the box.
Automated decisions
We don't use computer programs to make decisions about you that could significantly affect you. For example, we don't use software to decide who gets a place, who we hire, or what fee you pay. If that changes, we will update this policy before it does.
Children's information
The only information about a child we ask for on our website is a date of birth or due date, so we can find the right room and start month. A parent or guardian should fill in our forms, not a child. If you think a child has sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.
How long we keep it
- Tour and contact enquiries: 24 months after your last contact with us, unless your child enrols. If they enrol, your details are kept as part of the enrolment record.
- Job applications and résumés: 24 months after you apply.
- News and offers: until you unsubscribe.
After that we delete the information or remove anything that identifies you, unless the law requires us to keep it.
Keeping it safe
Our forms send information over secure connections. Enquiries and résumés are saved in a protected database and private storage, and only people who need them can open them. No system is perfectly secure, so we also limit what we collect and how long we keep it.
If we find out that your information has been accessed or shared by someone who shouldn't have it, and it is likely to cause you serious harm, we will tell you and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) as the law requires.
Seeing or correcting your information
You can ask what personal information we hold about you and ask us to correct it. Contact us using the details at the top. We will reply within a reasonable time, and we aim to do so within 30 days. We may need to check who you are first. We don't charge for asking. If we can't give you something, we will tell you why in writing.
Making a complaint
If you think we have mishandled your information, contact us first. We will look into it and reply, and we aim to do so within 30 days. If you are not happy with our answer, you can complain to the OAIC at oaic.gov.au (online form, or email oaicintake@oaic.gov.au, or write to GPO Box 5288, Sydney NSW 2001). The OAIC enquiries line is 1300 363 992.

Our website links to other sites, such as Instagram and Facebook. We aren't responsible for how those sites handle your information. Check their privacy policies.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. The date at the top shows when it last changed. Big changes will be pointed out on this page.
